[Women Eternal]
In advancing our mission, we have identified the strategic goal to tear down systemic barriers that have stifled the socio-economic progression of women in Hawaiʻi and the United States, generally. To achieve this goal, 'Apoākea will engage in a number of projects directed at:
-
Engaging in workforce development for women in emerging sectors;
-
Increasing access to career and technical education for women;
-
Providing entrepreneurial support for women;
-
Empowering young women with strategies to facilitate financial independence

Financial Empowerment Strategies for Young Women [FESYW]
In 2022, ʻApo ākea piloted a mentorship program for young women ages 14 - 25 years, sponsored by a grant from the Womenʻs Fund of Hawaiʻi.
PROGRAM PURPOSE: To equip young women with the knowledge, tools, and perspective to set them on a financially independent path from the very beginning of their financial journey, in order to ensure a better quality of life, where they can avoid the negative effects of financial dependency.
